White Label Web Development: How Agencies Use It

800website builds white label for other agencies in Dubai and beyond. Here is how the arrangement actually works, from the side that delivers it.

What is white label web development?

White label means an agency subcontracts the build to another team and delivers it under their own brand. The end client sees your agency throughout; the build partner stays invisible, under NDA.

It exists because agency demand is lumpy. A marketing or branding agency wins a project needing a website, and hiring a permanent developer for irregular work does not add up. Subcontracting turns a fixed cost into a variable one.

The commercial shape is straightforward: you are quoted a partner price, you mark it up, and you keep the client relationship. Our website builds start at AED 999 and apps at AED 9,999, with partner margins on top of that structure.

Should I use a freelancer or an agency to subcontract?

A freelancer is cheaper and carries one specific risk: they are a single point of failure. If they take a full-time job or stop replying mid-project, you are explaining that to your client, not to them. For a small brochure site that risk may be acceptable.

An agency partner costs more and gives you continuity, a contract, capacity for parallel projects, and someone to escalate to. For anything with payments, bookings or customer data, that difference is usually worth paying for.

The pattern most agencies settle on: freelancers for small or experimental work, an agency partner for anything client-critical or recurring.

What should I check in a white label partner?

  • NDA as standard, signed before any discussion of your client.
  • Fixed pricing. You cannot quote your client confidently on top of an hourly estimate.
  • Who talks to the client. Agree it explicitly — usually nobody but you.
  • Handover terms. You should receive the full site, all logins, and ownership to pass on.
  • Realistic delivery windows you can safely quote against.
  • What happens after launch, and who fixes what.

Ask one more thing: whether they will approach your client directly, ever. The answer should be a flat no, in writing.

When does white label not make sense?

If web work is your core service and you have steady volume, building in-house eventually costs less per project and gives you more control. White label suits agencies where web is adjacent to the main offering — branding, marketing, PR — or where volume is genuinely irregular.

It also does not suit projects where the client needs to speak to the developer directly, which happens on complex technical work. Be honest about which kind of project you have.
