800website is a Dubai web design agency. This question has a clear answer and a more interesting second half.
Does no company address and phone number on a website hurt SEO?
Yes — most directly for local search. Google matches your website’s name, address and phone against your Google Business Profile and other listings. If your site shows none, there is nothing to match, and you compete for local results with a weaker signal than every competitor who publishes theirs.
The effect is strongest for local intent — “web design agency near me”, “dentist Dubai Marina” — where Google is deciding which businesses are genuinely in a place. It matters less for informational searches. But local intent is where the buying happens.
There is a second effect that is not technically SEO and probably costs you more: trust. A visitor deciding whether to send money to a company they found online looks for a physical address and a phone number. A site with only a contact form reads as either very early stage or deliberately hard to reach.
What is NAP consistency and why does it matter?
NAP is Name, Address, Phone. Consistency means those three strings are identical everywhere — your website, your Google Business Profile, and every directory you appear in. Not similar. Identical.
“Suite 2904, Marina Plaza” and “Marina Plaza – 29th Floor” describe the same place to a human and are two different strings to a search engine. Each inconsistency slightly weakens Google’s confidence that these listings are the same business.
The most common cause of inconsistency is time. A company changes phone number and updates the website, but not the twelve directories it was listed in three years ago. We audited a site recently that displayed two different phone numbers on its own pages — one in the footer template and a newer one on the pricing page — while the footer email pointed at a staging domain that had not existed for months. Every enquiry sent through that footer went nowhere, and nobody saw a bounce.
Before you submit to any directory, settle one canonical version of your NAP and use it verbatim. Fixing it afterwards means editing every listing by hand.
Why is my website not showing on Google?
Usually one of four reasons, in order of how often we find them. It is not indexed — Google knows the URL but has not added it, or has never crawled it at all. Nothing links to it — a page with no internal links is one Google is unlikely to prioritise. It is blocked — a noindex tag or robots.txt rule, often left over from a staging site. It ranks, but far down — which feels the same as not showing.
Check the actual status in Google Search Console with the URL Inspection tool rather than guessing. “Discovered — currently not indexed” means Google found the URL and chose not to crawl it, which is a quality and internal-linking problem. “URL is unknown to Google” means it has not been discovered at all, which is a sitemap and linking problem. They need different fixes, and treating one as the other wastes months.
What if I do not have a public office?
Publish what you can. A phone number and a service area is far better than nothing. In the UAE many legitimate businesses operate from a free zone address or a flexi-desk, and using it is normal.
What you should not do is invent an address or use a virtual office you have no relationship with. Google verifies business locations, and a listing that fails verification is worse than no listing.
See our SEO services or get in touch — our address and phone are on the page, which is rather the point.
