Arab Blinds

The Lebanese Institution for the Blind (L.I.B) is a non-profit organization dedicated to the rehabilitation and care of visually impaired individuals. Founded in 1986 by Dr. Issa El-Maalouf, who is blind himself, the institution operates under a pure humanitarian mandate and does not involve itself in political activities. It is licensed by the Lebanese State, having obtained official recognition in 1987 under notification number 146/A.D.

  • High Contrast and Large Text Options: Offer users the ability to adjust the contrast settings and font size of the website to accommodate individuals with low vision. High contrast color schemes and larger text sizes improve readability and usability for users with visual impairments.


  • Bottom-to-Top Button: a floating button at the bottom corner of the website that allows users to quickly scroll back to the top of the page with a single click.


  • Download Kitabi App: Take part in promoting inclusivity and accessibility by downloading the Kitabi application, published by LIB, the Lebanese Institution for the Blind.
