Is a Cheap Website in Dubai Worth It?

800website is a Dubai web design agency with published prices starting at AED 999. We compete on affordability, so here is the honest version of where cheap works and where it does not.

Is a cheap website in Dubai worth it?

Affordable is worth it. Cheap in the sense of corners cut is not — and the difference is not the price, it is what was removed to reach it. An AED 999 landing page with two well-built pages is good value. An AED 999 site sold as a full business website is a scope problem waiting to surface.

The four corners that get cut, and what each costs you later: hosting on oversold shared servers, which shows up as a slow site you cannot fix without moving; ownership, where the site sits on a platform you cannot export; no support window, so the first problem after launch is a new invoice; and no content work, leaving placeholder text that quietly signals an unfinished business.

None of those are visible on launch day. All of them are expensive at month six.

How much does a basic business website cost in the UAE?

Realistically AED 3,500 to AED 7,000 for a proper small business site. Our Business package is AED 3,500 for up to six custom pages in 14 days, with 30 days of post-launch support. Premium is AED 6,999 for ten-plus pages including service subpages, English and Arabic, and 90 days of support.

Below that, AED 999 buys a genuinely useful landing page — home plus one page, mobile-first, contact form and WhatsApp button, basic on-page SEO, delivered in 7 days. It is the right choice for a new business that needs to be findable and contactable now.

What it is not is a six-page site bought cheaply. Adding eight pages at AED 400 each to a Starter costs more than beginning on Business. Buy the tier that matches the site you actually need.

What should I never compromise on?

Four things, and they are cheaper to get right at the start than to retrofit:

  • Ownership. You should own the code, the hosting account and the domain, in your name. Ask directly and get a yes.
  • Mobile performance. Most UAE traffic is mobile and Google judges the mobile version.
  • Real contact details. Address, phone, email, visible on every page. It affects both local search and whether people trust you.
  • An editable CMS. A site you cannot update becomes a site that goes stale.

Everything else — animation, custom illustration, bespoke interactions — is genuinely optional and can wait until the site is earning.

Where is cheap actually the right answer?

More often than agencies admit. If you are validating an idea, running a single campaign, or need a credible presence while you work out the business, a small fast site is the correct call and spending AED 15,000 would be a mistake.

The failure is not starting small. It is starting small on something you cannot grow out of — a platform with no export, a design nobody can edit, or a build with no structure to add pages to. Start cheap, but start portable.
