800website has built websites for three financial firms — Aria Capital Management, ARIA Private Clients and MoneyUnspun. This is what those projects had in common.
What does a financial services website need in the UAE?
Five things: named people with real credentials, a page per service line, regulatory status stated plainly, restraint in tone, and English with Arabic.
For most businesses a website exists to explain and sell. For a financial firm the job is to be believed — someone is deciding whether to trust you with their pension, their company’s cash or their family’s savings, and they are actively looking for reasons not to.
That changes what works. Named people with photographs and qualifications are not a nice-to-have; they are the primary trust mechanism, and “our experienced team” with a stock image is the single most common gap we find on financial sites in this market.
Why does one page per service matter so much here?
Because financial services are not one product. Pensions, tax planning, investment management and estate planning are different questions asked by different people at different life stages. A single page titled “Services” answers none of them well and ranks for none of them at all.
MoneyUnspun was exactly this problem: pensions, retirement, tax planning and investment strategy, each reaching a distinct audience. The design work was mostly structural — giving each path its own route through the site so a visitor could find their situation quickly.
Practically, this means the AED 6,999 Premium package rather than the AED 3,500 Business one. Ten pages is the floor for a financial firm, not a luxury.
What about regulation and disclaimers?
Publish your licensing and registration details where a cautious visitor will look — the footer on every page, and the about page. Where a group entity is regulated in another jurisdiction, state that clearly rather than leaving it implied.
Disclaimers should be readable rather than hidden. A visitor who finds the risk language in six-point grey text at the bottom trusts you less, not more.
On content: we can write the site at AED 250 per page, but we cannot invent your track record, credentials or regulatory status, and we will not. Get compliance sign-off on wording early — rewriting an approved page late is the most common cause of delay on these projects. We build and structure the site; we are not compliance advisers.
What tone works?
Plain and unhurried. No countdown timers, no “limited places”, no urgency mechanics. Anything that reads as a sales tactic costs credibility in this sector faster than it converts.
Specificity beats adjectives: what you do, who for, how you charge, and who the people are. Firms that publish their fee structure stand out considerably in a market where almost nobody does.
